The Kimhekim Spring/Summer 2022 Collection, “Women in Canvas” explores Designer Kiminte s obsession towards aesthetic. The back of canvases is often used in the background of Kimhekim lookbooks and with that as an inspiration, the season tells the story of the mysterious muse that exists within the canvas. The poetic feeling when you are approached by art is translated into details such as ornamented buttons, canvas printed silk and perforation which is a reminder of the frame of an artwork. This ready-to-wear collection that exudes couture elegance is a study on the beauty of women’s curves and sophisticated simplicity.
