Peggy Hartanto’s Fall/Winter 2022 “Bloom” collection is one that celebrates art, fashion, confidence and colour. Inspired by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama’s 2009 exhibiton “Flowers that Bloom at Midnight”, this collection takes cue from the wonderous sculptures at the exhibtion; the refined lacquered surfaces and the confident colours inform the careful choice of textiles and designs for this collection.
The enduring beauty of nature and flowers have always been a source of inspiration for the brand, and the silhouette, texture and details of the garments reflect that. The shape of flowers are reimagined and interpreted through the signature scalloped edges, polka dot motifs and exaggerated lines that create nature-inspired asymmetry.
Made using the finest materials and textures, each garment in this collection is a clear expression of the brand’s unique design style and a reflection of the textural and colourful visions of Yayoi Kusama.
