Reinterpreting the traditional sarong-style wrap – a recognizable staple garment within many Southeast Asian cultures – designer Max Tan takes his cue from the monastic and clean draping lines of this well-loved piece of traditional costume. Expect to find plenty of Max’s hallmark tailored cuts and silhouettes, softened by diaphanous fabrics and layers. Colours are kept to a monochrome palette of black, white and sand, thereby cutting out the fuss needed in mixing and matching the different items together.
