Best of Resort 2023: PH5 & Magali Pascal

The Resort 2023 Collections have arrived. This season, two of our beloved designer brands – PH5 and Magali Pascal – have delivered an approach to feminine glamour that brings us into an era packed with reinventions and remarkable craftsmanship with a touch of modern edge. Read on to discover the new and noteworthy from their Resort 2023 Collection, including versatile, sculptural looks that are well worth your attention.

PH5 RESORT 2023

For this Resort 2023 Collection, PH5 unveiled a series of womenswear based on the fundamentals of the brand, which are sculptural, graphic and innovative knitwear.

They took special note of female sculptors honouring the female form, namely Britain’s Barbara Hepworth and Kim Lim, a Singaporean British artist. Both women took inspiration from nature, such as land and seascape, the waves of a sea breeze and the curves of a desert plain.

The fluidity of their creations shares a similar frequency as the brand’s asymmetrical “wavy” hemline. With that in mind, PH5 came out with new interpretations and applications for their signature graphic detail.

Hepworth’s influence can be seen through our exploration of positive and negative space, while Lim’s work informed the gradient jacquard that is used as a 3D trompe l’oeil to create the illusion of curves of a flat surface, both of which work in harmony with the curves around and on the body.

MAGALI PASCAL RESORT 2023

Established in 2005, Magali Pascal reimagines the classic Parisian style and celebrates effortless, feminine French looks with 21st-century modernity while focusing on craftsmanship and artisanal techniques.

To end this year with a bang, Magali Pascal has dropped a Resort 2023 Collection named Crusoe, exclusively for societyA. This collection blends traditional handicrafts with luxury fabrics and elevated cuts, showcasing the brand’s versatility and dedication to craftsmanship.

Crusoe is a step into quaint villages in the south of France during the summer months, reflected across the collection’s textures and tones, with heirloom appeal elements throughout the collection, celebrating crafts and taking home-decor techniques into garments.

Amongst the beautiful pieces from the Magali Pascal’s Resort 2023 Collection, one dress surely caught our attention – the Botanic Dress worn by Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) in Season 2 of the “Emily in Paris” TV series. With the ultra-trendy blue hue, exaggerated ruffles, open back, and high-low design, this dress transcends the seasons with a romantic heart for all style trailblazers.

The dress has already sold out three times worldwide. With this final restock at societyA, be sure you get your hands on it before it sells out forever.
