Central to David Koma’s Pre-Fall 2024 collection is the theme of power play—the use of dressing to express one’s status, identity and to command their presence. Heavily inspired by the high society women of 1950s New York during the Truman Capote and the “Swans” saga, designs portray a strong women who lead their own story and present the juxtaposition of glitzy surfaces that hide nefarious undertones. Between soft and strong, pieces feature daring cuts, sheer bodices and seductive hemlines in lace.
