For Fall/Winter 2024, Eudon Choi explores the notion of timelessness by paying homage to the ancient Roman city of Pompeii. Vibrant, yet actively deteriorating, the collection captures the essence of a patinaed fresco that’s been layered with emotional complexity, human vulnerability and triumph. Delicate cashmere, wool and velvet are treated with exposed seams and distressed finishes to create a juxtaposition between softness and harshness. Across shades of sage, soil, pink and blues, hues are reminiscent of pigments eroded and oxidised from volcanic ash.
