Sourcing inspiration from her mother’s 1970s travel photos, Magali Pascal Fall/Winter 2022 collection is redolent with nostalgia; gracefully aged interiors, the unusual mundane objects, and rogish humour.
It recalls Mediterranean liminal ceramic tiles that translate to a rendition of linear shapes, rhymes with W. Morris’ Autumn and Winter in Verses for Pictures contrasting colorful pleasures of other seasons that translate to florals and geometric flounces, and resembles firm female figures whom she met along the way that translate to delicate textures and seaming details.
