For Fall/Winter 2024, Louis Shengtao Chen creates visceral expressions from tangible materials and objects. Rather than centering the collection on a theme, he leans on freeflowing emotions to create a collection that’s fragmented, elusive yet intense and raw. A labour of intuition, emotions become tangible as pieces are fluid and feature amorphous detailing. Chen evokes an air of refinement, stemmed from a collision of textures, materials and hues—featuring draped lace on black wool, delicate georgette in a patchwork format.
