Description

AO YES Fall/Winter 2026
The Elastic Waistband Flared Skirt is cut nearly full circle, so the gathered elastic waist releases into a wide, even flare rather than a gentle A-line.

It’s printed with a scattered botanical motif — small sprigs and dots in pink, yellow and green on a cream base — spaced out rather than densely packed.

Unlike the Elastic Waistband Flounced Skirt in the same collection, there’s no separate tiered panel here — the fullness runs continuous from waist to hem in one piece.

It falls to a midi length, part of the AO YES Fall/Winter 2026 collection from the Shanghai-based label.

Because the flare is a full circle rather than a partial one, the hem moves noticeably when you walk or turn, more than a straighter skirt would.

The elastic waist means there’s no fixed closure to size around, so it sits comfortably without needing an exact waist measurement.

A fitted top keeps the Elastic Waistband Flared Skirt’s volume as the clear focal point — anything with its own fullness on top competes with the flare rather than letting it read clearly.

Try the Elastic Waistband Flared Skirt with a plain tucked-in tee for warmer days, or layered over tights and boots once it’s cooler, since the light cotton base isn’t heavy enough to be a standalone winter piece.

The print is small enough that it reads as texture from across a room, with the individual sprigs and dots only visible up close.

Because the fullness starts right at the waist rather than lower on the hip, the Elastic Waistband Flared Skirt sits with more volume through the whole length rather than just flaring out toward the hem.

The gathering at the waist is dense enough that the elastic itself isn’t visible from the outside — it sits fully covered by the fabric folding over it.
