The Gift Bow Open Ring in Gold looks like a ribbon tied around a present: a folded band pulled into a bow, with two loops, a knot at the centre and two tails trailing off the finger. The finish is brushed rather than polished, with fine directional lines that make the gold read as soft and matte.
The band is open at the back instead of closed, which gives a little room to work with if you are between finger sizes. The product spec lists brass with 18K gold plating. Plating wears faster with friction, so put the ring on after hand cream and perfume have dried, and wipe it dry if it gets wet.
The bow is the whole design. Its loops stand up off the finger, and the tails fall to either side of the knot, so from above it has the outline of a ribbon rather than a ring. In the third photo it is worn on a hand with several fine rings, with the bow sitting across the finger and the other pieces staying thin enough to leave it as the focus.
Matte gold shows up well against black knitwear cuffs and white shirting, where a polished ring would pick up more reflections and lose its shape.
