The Mini Cat Head Mother-of-Pearl Gem Stud Earrings in Gold have a cream cat head with gold whiskers and gold eyes above a rounded-square body of white mother-of-pearl. A small gold bow sits at the cat’s neck, between the head and the body. The earring measures 18 mm by 13 mm, and the mother-of-pearl stone is 7 mm by 8 mm.
The spec lists sterling silver with 18K gold plating, cubic zirconia, synthetic resin and mother-of-pearl. In the photos the metal is a warm yellow gold, the mother-of-pearl shows a soft shimmer of pink and white, and a thin row of small clear stones runs around the edge of the body, so the pale centre has a sparkling border.
Each earring weighs 2.3 g. The side-view photo shows the back as a round, ribbed gold disc with lettering on its face, with the cat head and bow visible beside it. In the front view the whiskers spread out on both sides and the gold eyes stay clear against the cream face.
The worn photo shows the earring at the lobe with a layered pearl necklace below it. The pale stone sits comfortably with the pearls, so the ear and the neck read as the same palette. If you wear a pearl strand or an ivory top, these earrings continue that colour instead of changing it, and they give the look a small playful detail through the cat and the bow.
With gold plating over silver, put them in a pouch after wearing so the thin whiskers stay straight and do not catch on other pieces. Wipe the mother-of-pearl gently with a soft cloth. Mother-of-pearl is a natural material, so the tone of the shimmer can differ slightly from one earring to the other.
