Two layers are built into the Pearl Bow Mother-of-Pearl Necklace. The upper one is a short collar of pearls with small bow shapes set between them, and below it a finer chain carries a single small pendant, so the necklace gives you a stacked look from one clasp.
The bows alternate with the pearls around the front of the collar, in a pale, milky silver tone that picks up a little pink from nearby colours. The spec lists mother-of-pearl and faux pearl, along with brass, 18K gold plating and cubic zirconia. The chain length is 33 cm with a 10 cm extension, which is short enough to sit on the base of the neck.
The photos are taken more casually than most of the collection. The model wears a salmon-pink open shirt over a yellow bikini-style top with a flower-shaped clasp at the centre, plus pearl-trimmed glasses, and the necklace sits against the open collar. Because the shirt is a soft, matte pink, the pearls and the mother-of-pearl bows read clearly. The pendant on the lower chain ends just above the neckline of the top.
That relaxed styling is the right way to wear it. This is a good necklace for casual clothes: an open shirt, a swimsuit top, a camisole, a vest. It does not need a formal outfit. Colour works in its favour, as it picks up warm tones, such as pink, yellow and coral, as easily as it does white or black. If you wear the glasses from the same collection, the pearls will echo each other, but keep the earrings simple so there are not three sets of pearls competing.
Mother-of-pearl is softer than stone, so avoid knocking it against hard surfaces. Wipe the necklace with a dry cloth after wearing and keep it away from perfume, sunscreen and chlorine.
