The Peacock Blue Pleated Fluid Chiffon Long Skirt is a maxi in a deep blue-green, cut full and light enough to move with every step. The product spec lists the fabric as 100% viscose, finished with an acetate-polyester lining.
The top section is pleated all the way around and fitted through the hip, with a curved lower edge where the fuller skirt begins. Below it the fabric falls in loose gathers down to a ruffled tier near the hem, and the hem itself is uneven, longer in some places than others, so it swings and shifts as you walk instead of hanging in one straight line.
In the lookbook it is worn with a sheer lace camisole in a darker teal-blue, with thin straps and a scalloped, tiered hem. The lace lets skin show through, and the skirt’s plain solid colour leaves the lace as the detail. The back-view photo shows the camisole’s low scooped back, which is worth seeing if you plan to dress the skirt up for the evening.
The brand’s own notes suggest wearing it under a coat for the colder months. A long coat that stops above the tiered hem would keep the ruffle visible, while a shorter jacket or cropped knit leaves the pleated hip section on show. Because the fabric is light and the cut is full, it suits shoes with some presence: ankle boots or heels will show where the hem lifts and swings.
Pleated viscose is best treated gently. Check the garment’s care label before washing or dry cleaning, and store the skirt hung from the waistband or folded loosely, so the pleats keep their shape and the ruffled tier does not get crushed under other clothes.
