The Water Green Beaded Lace Skirt is a mini in a soft sage-green, covered edge to edge in flower motifs worked in pink and lilac beads. Up close each flower is a small cluster of beads fanning out from a centre point, scattered across the surface rather than set out in rows.
The shape comes from the draping. The fabric is pleated and gathered along one hip, and the hem curves up and across the front in a crossover line instead of finishing straight. The waistband is 100% sheepskin, a leather detail on a skirt that otherwise carries all its interest in the beadwork.
In the lookbook photos it is styled with a pink fringed knit top with wide gathered sleeves, sheer black tights, black ankle-strap heels and a snakeskin-print clutch. The pink of the top matches the pink in the beads, which leaves the skirt as the only patterned piece in the outfit. To wear it more quietly, a plain black knit and opaque tights would keep the beadwork as the focus.
Beadwork needs gentler handling than a printed skirt. Store it folded or laid flat rather than hung by the waistband, keep it clear of zips and rough straps inside a bag, and check the care label on the garment before cleaning.
The beading is dense across the full width, so the skirt looks the same from behind as it does from the front. The flowers vary in size, with smaller beads filling the gaps between the larger blooms, and the gathering from the hip carries on up toward the waistband. At mini length, it is a skirt that shows off tights and shoes as much as the beadwork itself.
