Description

Jacques Wei Fall/Winter 2026
The Purple Scale Texture V-Neck Long Dress is covered in raised, overlapping scales in deep aubergine, each one outlined in a lighter mauve thread, cut sleeveless with a plunging V-neckline.

The scales are three-dimensional rather than printed, so the surface catches the light and has a real texture under the hand. The fabric is polyester with sheepskin accents.

The V-neck is finished with a fine binding, and a second line of binding runs down the centre of the bodice between vertical seams. At the hip a curved seam marks a lower waistline, where the skirt is gathered, more heavily on one side, and falls full to below the calf. A smoother band finishes the hem, a quiet break from the texture above it.

There’s a pocket at the side, deep enough to rest a hand in.

Part of the Jacques Wei Fall/Winter 2026 collection. The label was founded in 2010 on couture-inspired technique, and this dress is a good example of it: all of the interest comes from surface and construction, not colour blocking or print.

The flared skirt moves away from the body rather than clinging, so the Purple Scale Texture V-Neck Long Dress suits an evening out or a dinner where you’ll be seated for a while.

The V-neck is deep enough to carry a long pendant or chain on its own, and the dress needs little else: a plain boot or pointed flat and a clutch are plenty.

Because the texture is tone-on-tone, it reads as a solid purple from across a room and only shows its pattern up close, which makes it easy to wear a bolder bag or shoe with it without the two competing.

In the product photos it’s styled with cognac leather gloves and a zebra-print boot: warm tan against cool purple works well, and so does anything metallic at the neck.
