The Violet Ruffled Cape Chiffon Blouse is cut from a fine, see-through fabric in a pale violet with a lavender-blue cast, shaped as a cape that drapes over the shoulders and falls loose around the arms.
The spec lists a silk blend and describes the piece as a ruffled cloak that can be worn two ways, though the photos show only one of them. The neckline is gathered up high and fastened with ties, and a ruffle runs down the front from the neck. On one side the cape opens at the arm, so an arm can come through the gap. The hem is asymmetrical: layers of ruffles sit at the waist, and a long ruffled streamer trails down one side.
From behind, the ruffle continues down the centre of the back and the cape sits wide across the shoulders. The hem shows several tiers of ruffles, one below the other, so the back has as much going on as the front.
