Jacques Wei Fall/Winter 2026
The ruffle on the Leopard-Print Halter Asymmetrical Sash Open-Back Silk Top runs from the waist down one side as a long cascade, and that single line is what sets the top apart. Everything above it is simple: a gathered halter neck, a fitted body and bare arms.

The spec lists silk, and in the photos the fabric looks light and see-through, printed with a leopard pattern in brown, black and tan. The hem is built from layered, gathered ruffles that sit at the hip and carry on around the back. On one side they lengthen into the sash-like streamer the name refers to, which hangs well below the hem of the top.

The back is open to the waist. A thin cord ties across the lower back, and a ruffled tie at the nape closes the halter, with its ends hanging down between the shoulder blades. Both are visible in the back view, so they are part of the look instead of hidden closures, and the ruffled hem tiers show clearly from behind as well.

In the lookbook it is worn with dark brown trousers in a glossy fabric, gathered at the ankle so they balloon, plus navy heeled sandals and bright blue earrings. The wide, gathered ankle balances the ruffles at the top, and the earrings are the only colour outside the leopard’s browns. If you would rather keep the focus on the cascade, a plain straight skirt or slim trousers would let it hang without competition.

Ruffled silk keeps its shape best with some care. Hang it on a padded hanger, or fold it with the ruffles uncrushed on top, and steam it instead of pressing, since an iron flattens the gathers. The garment’s care label decides between hand washing and dry cleaning.
