The Leopard Printed Ruffled Sleeve Silk Blouse is a sheer leopard-print top in browns, black and olive, cut loose and blousy with a gathered round neckline. The sleeves carry the design: they gather at the cuff, then fall into tiers of ruffled, uneven-edged layers that trail past the hand.
The print is large and layered. Dark brown spots sit over lighter tan and olive patches, and because the fabric is sheer, the pattern reads differently depending on what is underneath it. In the front view the hem is uneven rather than straight, so the blouse drapes loosely over whatever you wear it with instead of sitting in a clean line. The shoulders are soft and slightly gathered, which keeps the top from looking structured even though the sleeves have so much going on at the wrist.
From the back, the neckline closes with a small fastening at the nape and the body hangs loose, with the same ruffled cuffs showing at the sides. The back carries the same all-over print as the front, with no plain panel breaking it up. Sizes run S, M and L; the size chart on this page has the measurements.
In the Jacques Wei photos it is worn with a black ruched, beaded mini skirt, sheer black tights and a jewelled necklace. Since the blouse is see-through, plan the layer under it first: a plain camisole or slip keeps the print doing the work, while bare skin or a bodysuit makes it a party top.
