Beads cover the whole surface of the Water Green Bead Embroidered Shirt, not just a panel or a trim. Pink and lilac flowers are sewn across a sage-green base from the shoulders to the hem, and the spec calls the embroidery handcrafted and three-dimensional.
The neckline is a deep V, closed at the top by a thin tie that sits in a small loop at the throat. Below it the shirt is gathered at the waist and flares into a short peplum, so the volume sits above and below a narrower middle. The sleeves are full and gathered into the cuffs, with the tie ends hanging loose, which is the lantern shape the product notes describe.
The spec also says the fabric drapes well and resists wrinkles. From behind, the beading is as dense as it is at the front, and the shirt hangs straight from the shoulders with no visible waist gathering. In the close-up you can see how the flowers vary in size, with larger blooms spaced out and smaller beads filling the gaps around them.
The lookbook shows it with a long, sheer skirt in the same sage green, which has a beaded band at its hem, plus heels in navy and red worn with red socks. Worn that way the outfit is one colour from top to bottom, and the beadwork at the shirt and the hem is what holds it together. On its own, the shirt works with plainer bottoms in a dark colour, since it carries all of the pattern.
Beads add weight at the shoulders and sleeves, so fold the shirt flat or hang it on a wide hanger instead of a thin wire one. Use the garment’s care label to decide between hand washing and dry cleaning, and keep the beadwork away from rough surfaces that can snag it.
